So, I got a chance to meet Interpol today, I almost knocked Paul Banks over, then I grabbed his arm to tell him Turn On The Bright Lights is one of my favorite albums. On the plus side, I think I broke the ice for everyone during the taking of pictures mentioning how it’s as awkward as taking you prom picture. Stephanie was there, she’ll vouch for me :)
Gregory Isaacs - Night Nurse
RIP Mr. Isaacs
He was the most prolific and exquisite singers in reggae with more than 500 Gregory Isaacs albums have been released during his career, many being compilations.
Really doing it for me this week..
Coleman Hawkins - Say It Isn’t So (Irving Berlin, 1932) off of Body & Soul. A compilation of songs recorded from 1939 - 1956 and released in 1996.
I am sad to report, I cannot whip my hair back and forth as hard as I would like to because my glasses fly out of my face. That would usually be fine, but I need them to stay on to distinguish shapes and words and you know, things that are over one foot away from my line of sight. I am happy to say that I have whipped my hair in every direction when I was nine years old to Gloria Trevi’s “Pelo Suelto”, so there is that.
